Why did we create Vancouver Local?
Vancouver is a city of many cultures, many languages, and many ways of doing business. We created Vancouver Local to celebrate that. It’s a place for neighbours to discover the shops, restaurants, and services that keep this city moving, and a place for business owners to reach the people they serve. From one end of the city to the other, we’re here to put a spotlight on the genuine experiences and skilled professionals that make Vancouver feel like home.
We built this directory because we believe in supporting the people who’ve chosen to build something here, and recognizing the work that goes into running a small business in a city this size.

We want to put Vancouver’s businesses where they belong, which is in front of the neighbours who’ll appreciate them. From healthcare to home services, food to family-owned shops, we focus on the skilled professionals and honest work that keep our city running. We believe that real connections between the people who live here and the entrepreneurs who pour themselves into their craft.
